‘Cougar Town’ on the Prowl for Jennifer Aniston
The chase is on…
Several affiliates of the sitcom “Cougar Town” are going public about their desire for sexy real life cougar Jennifer Aniston to make a guest appearance.
The ABC show chronicles the high jinks that ensue when a new divorcee who lives with her 18-year-old son returns to the jungle of the dating scene.
“I hope she comes on,” costar Busy Philipps told E! Online at the 31st Annual College Television Awards in Hollywood. “She’s lovely.”
An appearance would mark a major reunion, as the star of the show — Courteney Cox — costarred with Aniston, 41, on the mega-hit show “Friends,” where Cox, 45, became the highest-paid TV actress in history, earning about $1 million for each of the show’s final two episodes.
The two have remained close.
The courting began late last month, when executive producer let it be known that he’d love to see Aniston appear. Also coaxing Aniston forth has been 48-year-old rocker Sheryl Crow, who just finished shooting three episodes of the show as a guest star.
“She’d be great at anything.” Crow, also a friend of Jen’s, told People. “I mean, my gosh. Who wouldn’t want to see Jennifer Aniston and Courteney again?”
